Greetings From The Colonel!

Hello Lovely!

It's just coming to the close of a surprisingly busy Sunday, working on a commission and losing track of time AGAIN! So just a quick hello from me and a VERY sleepy Colonel, who's had a LOT of sun soaking today and is a sleepy boy. Here's a picture of him fast aleep -

...and here's his fluffy self just BRIMMING with energy -

BOOM! BAZINGA!

I actually took these pics the other day but he looks just the same today! And yesterday....and the day before! And more fluff than is surely normal for any single creature...if I brush him I'd get a whole extra cat!

Anyway - we send you love and hugs from both of us, and some kitty drool from Colonel Snore-Face! xxxxx

    1. That's a cat who knows he has his mommy wound round his little paw! He's my heart and soul and reason for getting up in the mornings...mainly because of the meowing and the claws! We love you loads, woodland lady xxx

    1. He's my little black shadow kitty. He had a black and white gangster brother called Victor and a beautiful but deadly assassin sister named Sabrina - we miss them, but The Colonel adores having 100% of my attention! He and I - and his zombie fluff minions - send hugs to you, Fluffy, Shelley and Twiggy xxx

  6. Oh Colonel - you need to teach me that look that you have mastered so well. The expression says a thousand words :D

He's gorgeous (not that I need to tell him that!) - I have a soft spot for a black kitty. I still miss my 'wee man' Rocky after 15 years.

    1. The Colonel accepts your adoration and names you honorary Auntie Carmen - you will be spared when he takes over the universe! I'm betting that Rocky and my Victor and Sabrina are causing havoc in the rainbow fields, and there's a VERY strong chance that Vic would get an angel through a catflap.....determined kitty, even in the afterlife! We love ya loads girlie xxx

  7. I have been swamped with family obligations and have been unable to catch up on all my required blog reading - you are at the top of my list!

First, and most importantly (insert smiley face) please give a hug to the Colonel for me - I have such an affection for fur babies - they have literally taken over my own life at times!

Your art journal pages are true inspiration - as I have said before, I do not journal, but that does not stop me from enjoying the art of others! Truly beautiful - you make it all look so simple!

I remember going through my Father's belongings after he passed on to a much better world 10 years ago. I have his photobook from when he was in the Korean War - he was so young and handsome! It was so hard to do this, but at the same time, it was so important. I learned so much about him - I did not think it was possible. Five years later, I collected my mother from their home in Florida and brought her to live with me in Virginia. I had to go through his things again - major down sizing required. I now see my father with different eyes. I see him in his grandchildren, and the newest members to our tribe, his 3 great grandchildren. I know he sees them, too, and I smile. He is my Guardian Angel, until the time comes for me to join him. Blessings and hugs to you!!!!

    1. Thank you for your comments and for sharing so much. Given who you are, and the kindness I know you have inside you I can truly believe that your dad was an incredible man - as your mum must be a great woman. I'm still processing the many facets of mum's life, our relationship and my losing her. I know my grandad came to collect her when her time came to dance into her meadow, as my grandma came to take my uncle. I know they'll be there for me. I look forward to the time when the smiles are more abundant than the tears. It helps to share and to know other people have worked through it.

Sending you love and hugs from me and my very own fur baby kitty xxxx

Where would we be without our fur babies?!
